I guess I get to be the first one.
Well, I'd like to say that I thought the whole conference was VERY well done, the food was excelent, the activities were very fun and provoked thought and the staff were engaging and energetic. Vanessa also did a great job. I think my favourite part was the two activities, the cube building and the shoe making, but I also was very impressed with our " Be the Change" board. Overall, excellent, excellent day!!
And I'd just like to say to all my Tuesday pals, I'm sorry that I missed seeing you all again-I saw pictures of you and I wish I could have come both days. I hope you also had a great day on Friday!
We missed u very much m&m! Ms.Watt said hi from u too all of us!
I loved everything about the conference...especailly Vanessa'a speech and of coarse the video at the end! I just can't describe how much it just made my heart shiver...I cannot possibly say I "enjoyed" it(it gave me a head-ache and diturbing thoughts for a long time!) BUT, I'm really glad that I watched it-it was very inspiring!
It was indeed very inspiring. Now I feel the responsibility to pass this knowledge to other people. I feel the need to make a change in the world. The video was very good. It explained alot of problems in the world (mostly regarding children).
Me too...the end of the day was really sad...not only becuase it ended with a video showing children that need help, but it was officially the last day of enrichment!
don't forget the stratford reunion in april. i thought the day was incredibly fun. the simulation activities were amazing, the presentation was great, and the video was inspiring. the service was good, and so was the food. i thought the simulation activities were the best part. the day itself was incredible.
it was really good, i love the shoe making activity. anyone this isn't really important, but the photo that says china hard at work is actually russia
I liked the shoe making activity too. I can't imagine living like that! Each month we were just sraping by! The whole conference was amazing...way better than normal school!
Fixed the China / Russia thing - thanks!
Great comments everyone.....I think I'm going to send Kevin and Vanessa a link to this so they can read your comments too - they'd enjoy hearing what you say.
I thought it was an awesome day! I hope that mcq does this every year, it seemed to really have a strong effect on a lot of people. I love the simulations, and the movie at the end was horrifying, but a beautiful piece of work. Missed you, M&M!!
You guys are having a reunion in April? I wish I got that... no, wait... I went to McQ in April... agh! I came back from Owen Sound (the land of 6 ft. snowbanks) and am really out of it, since I only saw the homefront again at 9:00 Sunday!
Rocking On,

Rockign On,

The photos did look fantastic! Thankx Ms. Watt!
We are having a reunion in April? Is that the play we are going to watch? I loved the trip. It was worth while to be there. Thanks Ms. Watt for the photos, though I wished that I had smiled.
We are going to Stratford on MAY 15!! I started the Shakespeare website today so I should have the permission letters for the trip and the website finished and posted by Monday. I'll let you know when it's ready!
I am enjoying the conference comments - and would love to read more....
The conference was a wonderful experience-an unforgettable one. In fact Mc'Quarrie and all of the people I got to know are unforgettable. If I ever do something really great in the future which has a positive impact, I'll blame lots of it Mc'Quarrie and the global issues conference! Mc'Quarrie changed my life-and so did the conference. The conference really changed the way I think now!
Questions for you: What play are you seeing? Are you getting backlot tours? Just out of random curiosity.
Rocking On,
Postman Craig
we're doing a stage combat workshop which will be soooo much fun. I think were seeing king lear?
I believe so. I loved the conference as well. Though many of the other Laurentian students showed no sign of wanting to help.
really? the kid's from our school thought it was good. but i don't know if they're into the whole activist thing, or just the games.
I don't feel good at all at the moment. I miss mcquarrie very badly.
I miss you all too.
Sapphire - are you going to be creating a blog?? I read your profile tonight and just wondered....
Postman - we're going to see King Lear. We have a 'stage combat' workshop at 9:45 and a Pre-show presentation at 11, picnic lunch, gift store shopping and then show at 2. Should be a fantastic day!! More to come - just working on the letters and online King Lear unit now.
May 15 - is it on your calendars?? wanna come postman?? i have 50 tickets, first come, first served....stay tuned....
uh...i kinda did create a blog-but i dunno how 2 add it unto my profile!
How did you creat a blog without inputing your username?
uh...what do u mean?
yes! i think there's a link to my blog on my profile now! i fixed it!
anyhow, i also wanted to say how much effect the stimulation activities had on me and like everyone! all schools ahould do it! wes hould talk to the teachers about it....
even ignorant people might start to understand and have some feeling...
I'm extremely tempted! Stage Combat sounds fun and would probably boost my drama mark with the mentioning of it...
Rocking On,
Postman Craig
